Hello lads
The stepper motor IC "UCN 5804" can drive unipolar stepper motors up to 40 Volts. I found it in my local store and had to buy two. I looked at the datasheet and the connection circuit is clear. The circuit on page five seems to do exactly what I need. My Power supply wont be 28Volts because I`m using a 12V unipolar stepper, I think 14-16Volts should be enough, don`t forget the drain of the working stepper. I don`t undertand the direction control pins (these are two). Will I need three connection lines to the microcontroller (AT89S52)? How to setup a PWM for these pins? Greetings Karim |
