#100290 - it is in the very title of the datasheet Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Please help. As I design to use one of these to drive the LED.
it is in the very title of the datasheets. One is a source driver (a "switch" to Vcc) and the other is a sink driver (a "switch" to gnd) and both are totally unsuitable for driving tricolor signage. You need a constant current driver or you will have color differences between neighbour cells. If you do not believe me, go ahead, it looks AWFUL. Also, the power supply requirements are much more stringent for "resistor drive" than for CC drive. use 6275/6/7 and stay away from multiplexing. Many "good practices" for monochrome LED signage end up with miserable results for color. Erik |
