#10267 - Too many falg bits in the code |
Hi all,
I have done coding for a number of projects but one thing haunts my codes, I have to define too many flag bits in the RAM to be used during execution. Is it an example of bad coding (certainly it is if Jay is answering, no match to a Guru :-) ) or it is inevitible to do away with various conditionalities arising during the execution. CONDITIONALITIES: if this happens and that happens too and that that AND that did not happen then do this............... 05 flags are required or what ?? Also I would like Gurus to teach the tricks on how to save code space when file size is just a little above what the micro can take into Flash to save from increasing the hardware and cost size. Like my code has reached 1928 bytes and just a little is yet to be done and it will be slightly above 2k. Then I will have to move to AT89c4051 double the price of 2051 around here. Simon |
