The eram in this series can be addressed by dptr, Ri. The Ri is page addressing. Now in case of the older chips the the ext ram was actually external so the page selection is decided by the value of P2. With eram of rx series, what is taking the place of P2 for page selection. This could create ramdom behaviour in progs using eram especially compiled code in compact model of compilers like sdcc, franklin etc.
