#103300 - What is the clock divider set to? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I haven't used the part in question so I can't comment directly. If this part is a 6 clock part - then the pca values may be half what you expect. The easiest way to confirm this is to feed a 50Hz signal in and see what values you get. For a tachometer, you will need to filter the measurements as they jump around quite a bit so you get a reasonable readout. Also, reading out to 1 rpm makes it hard to read - 100rpm is probably more sensible. The Delco fuel injection computer (as used in many aus/nz vehicles) only resolves down to 25rpm increments! The other killer is the ignition signal - this needs a bit of filtering in itself to get rid of ringing etc. |
