#104866 - ISP with Rx+Tx Responding to: ???'s previous message |

I was trying to say that it *might* be possible to do ISP anyway, as long as the two ends don't talk at the same time and as long as hearing their own responses back doesn't offend them As far as I understand the LPC9xx bootloader, it receives a byte and then echoes it; so it would "hear" it again, echo it again etc.etc. -> won't work. However, as the bootloader is published, it should be possible to modify it to ignore the "feedback" from the echoed byte. But for a new device, some way for initial programming would be required -> ICP seems to be inevitable. Jan Waclawek |
