#104947 - real time clock |
Im just a hobbiest, and Im new to microcontrollers, but I think their is a typo in Craig Steiner's tutorial "Software-Based Real Time Clock (RTC)." In the timer interupt, he turns off the clock, sets it too the appropriate value, and then turns it back on.
CLR TR1 MOV TH1,#HIGH (RESET_VALUE-5) MOV TL1,#LOW (RESET_VALUE-5) SETB TR1 The appropriate value is RESET_VALUE. The clock is off for 5 machine cycles, so he incorporates the "-5". It seems like the clock would be delayed by 10 cycles. Am I looking at this wrong or is this suppose to be +5? |
