#105229 - rs-4385 fail most of the time because no
Responding to: ???'s previous message
rs-4385 fail most of the time because nobody "believe in" proper termination.

The protocol is a minor issue if implemented as a master-slave, most 485 failures are due to:
improper termination
stubs
not remembering that the UART int does not mean totally finished
not wiring correctly
...

RS485 is a wonderful bus, it is simple, fast and safe when implemented correctly

if you have any intention of not following the spec, stay away from 485, if you will follow the spec, fall in love with it.
