#10623 - Detailed register-level of 8051 Core
Hi there,

Thanks, especially to Steve Taylor and Peter Danneggar, for the reply to my message (date: 22nd June 2000) regarding information for the sub-cycle level fetch-execute cycle. Since then I have successfully develop a sub-cycle level 8051 simulator (generic 8051) accurate to the fetch mechanism.

However I would now like to know if its possible for a research student like me to obtain the register-level architecture information of the 8051 core. I do know that there's now a VHDL 8051 core from Dolphin integration but its too expensive and may not function (at the register level) the same as the generic 8051 core.

I am well aware that such information is considered intellectual property but I am prepared to sign any suitable non-disclosure agreement that would allow me to publish my findings as part of my PhD.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Royan Ong
