If you type "hyperterminal parity check" into the google search window, then you will find an overwhelming number of applications, where it's suggested to configure "No parity".
For me the only explaination for this is, that hyperterminal does not support the parity check. Means it only gives you the recieved data byte, whether a parity check error has occured or not. It does not inform you about the transmission error. By the way, what happens if you transmit ASCII (7bit)? Kai |
