#106960 - Better relay = lower current Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Steve said:
6VA and the relay doesn't need to be powered off the regulated rail. The transformer for that is pretty tiny. And I'm sure that Gia can use a some better relay needing much lower turn-on current. Then a some smaller transformer can be used. Up to now, we don't know what Gia wants to do with the SCR... Gia, do you have total isolation (better enhanced or double isolation fullfilling safety class II) to your circuit? What do you plan to switch with the relay? Is this also totally isolated? If there's the least eventuality, that something of your circuit can be touched by someone, then neglecting isolation from mains is strictly forbidden! Kai |
