#10765 - EEPROM getting corrupted |
Hi,
I am facing a strage problem. I am using 29EE010 SST eeprom with AN2131 8051 derivative microcontroller. I am using a bootloader to download firmware in the field. I am using the 3byte SDP sequence whenever I write to the EEPROM. There is no hardware data protection. The product has a thermal printer attached to it and when printing is done, it consumes maximum current(1.6A).Normally the current drawn is 400ma. Our PSU can supply 2.2A. Inspite of the SDP, the EEPROM gets corrupted (the locations where my print code lies get cleared) occasionally whenever a printing operation is done. Can anybody throw light why this is happening and if there is a solution to it. Thanks in advance. Regards, Suba |
