#11114 - RE: I NEED DRIVER FOR R/W SMART CARD |
Hi,
Well depends on which chip u are trying to write or read from. If u are intending to read only, then it's very simple for certain chips that do not protect the contents of their memory. If u intend to write to a chip such as SLE4406E, SLE4436E or even SLE4428, then u will require something called a transport key or PSC key. This is a sequence of password bytes that the chip must receive from u before it will allow u to write to. This information is normally confidential and is only available to the buyer of the chip. So if u are working with a company that deals with smart cards....then this information is open to u. However if you do not have access to this information - then 100% u will not be able to write to any chip. Note that SLE4406 and SLE4436 are one time prog. chips, while the SLE4428 can be reprogrammed many times (same with SLE4442). |
