#11122 - RE: need info on an 8031 network project |
Hi Patrick,
There are several ways of networking several processors together. How far apart is each processor? Are they going to be on the same PCB, or will they be several 100m away from each other? If they're on the same board, you might want to consider implementing an I2C bus. There are several 8052s avaiable with I2C hardware. If you need long-distance communication, then as Erik mentioned, RS485 could be suitable. There is plenty of info on the net about either method. Designing the hardware is usually quite easy. Depending on what it is you're doing, the software could prove to be quite tricky. Give us a better idea of your project, Matt. |
