Intel Hex files contain only pure, unformatted, plain ASCII text.
The avoids any issues or quirks that storage systems and/or communication links may have with pure binary data. Similarly for Motorola S-Records. It is possible that something somewhere in the chain may be incompatible with and/or incorrectly configured for binary data... |
