Here in the replacement of the device using graphic LCD,is it is possible to create the cursor at a particular address/page in the display during operation.
If I read your question as posted the only reply can be:
It's graphic, is'nt it? for a graphic display yoy indicate which dots are to be black, so if you make the dots black where you want the cursor you will have what you want.

if I misread or you miswrote your post e.g. you forgot to mention that you are using the display in "character mode" or such then repost
