I am working on my final year project at the University of Zimbabwe. The project involves the design of a programmable geyser controller. Basically the controller should determine the time at which the geyser should be switched on and off depending on the requirements of the user.

The controller should be user programmable in terms of correcting the time, which should be displayed on an LCD module and the time when the various switchings should take place.

I would appreciate help in the form of web-site references and/or suggestions as to what kind of approach I can take.
