#11302 - RE: Program speed running from externalEPROM |
I thought that the original Gil's question was oriented to the execution time computation, for example to generate a simple software delay. In the 51 family, external program memory fetch takes the same time than internal ROM fetch. At least in the standard 51s, maybe not in the speed-up new versions that do not use a machine cycle of 12 clock periods.
Other micros might show a different timing for internal and external code memories. |
