Do I assume you have a pull up resistor from the processor pin to +5 and a changeover switch from +5v and gnd connected to that line. You MUST have a pull-up to guarantee the state of the pin as the switch transits from +5 to gnd, otherwise it is entirely possible that you are "letting noise in" then.
