I agree all the answers I have read (Andy, Erik, Jean and Peter).
I use a multi-micro simulator and a "mini-ICE" to test the real HW. I make 90% of the work by simulation. I call "mini-ICE" to a downloadable MCU (Atmel AT89S53) installed in a little PCB that plugs into the application board MCU socket. Strictly speaking I can not debug, only download the code from a PC via the serial port. |
