Then instead of spending "a week" copying the stack, it is spending "a day" for every call.

Have you ever had a chance to look at a subroutine call "stacked" in XDATA?

Why, Oh why, can no one see that the fact that something is possible does not make it right.

If you have to play with a RTOS, stay away from the '51, it is singularily the worst choice (maybe with the exception of some PICs).

If you have to play with a RTOS, use a processor with "unlimited" natural stack, not some software created artificial stack.

I use the expression "play with a RTOS" because intending to use a RTOS on a '51 can have no other purpose.
