#117890 - Kanda Boards

I am planning to purchase the Kanda development board, STKP51-66.

So I would like to ask the community on its merits/demerits etc. if anyone already has prior experience with it.

Oh yes, and my requirements are :
1. Programming the micro in the board, or ISP if you say.
2. Ability to debug the code via a terminal emulator program.
3. Ability to burn a similiar micro through a socket or slot in the board.

Please let me know if anyone is already using this board and whether it would suit my requirements.

I have the STKP51-RD which is the same PCB but with a different 8051 variant fitted.

1. You can program the chip in the board using ISP.
2. Not sure what you mean. This board uses flash programmed devices so it is not the same as the older types where you loaded your program into RAM and ran it via a monitor program.
3. You can also duplicate chips using ISP too.

What I like about is is it has lots of built in switches and LEDS, space for SMD or DIP micros and RAM devices and a built in PSU which has a full wave rectifier so you cannot blow it up by connecting an external supply the wrong way round.
