#118411 - below 7MHz Responding to: ???'s previous message |
A clock signal below the 7MHz means it can be 6MHz or 4MHz. The input clock of the RTC comes from an external circuit and these frequencies are commonly used. The RTC runs independent and can have its own clock input signal. The RTC high frequency crystal configuration goes up to 12MHz. From the datasheet: "The clock source for this counter can be either the CPU clock (CCLK) or the XTAL1-2 oscillator, provided that the XTAL1-2 oscillator is not being used as the CPU clock."
Everything works great now, but I don't know I have to count the frequency twice. Regards, Mark |
