Erik, the format that appears in the demo page would also be used for the forum.

That is to say, the forum would no longer have the black sidebar that it does now--rather, it would have the "header navigation bar" that the demo page has. The forum itself, and how it works, would remain the same--it's just a matter of whether the forum has a black sidebar to the left or a header navigation bar like the demo page.

The site structure itself does not change. The demo page has the same options as the current sidebar--it's just a different way to present it to the user. I think it's more efficient, but it does have a slightly different look and feel and that's why I'm interested in everyone's feedback.
