ever so many USB to serial boards have shown problems with our "abnormal" use. "Abnormal" as in not just connecting to a modem There has been legiao posts in various forat that ISP does not work with some USB to serial convertes. I would, instead but a serial board to insert in the motherboard (~$15), those DO work for "abnormal" uses.
