They might be slightly different than what you are accustomed to at the Internet, which is considered to be "free in speach", but this is the expression of freedom - the freedom to choose a decent language.

Simply, you can get first class information on this forum, but you are asked to give up the sms-like abbreviations (you won't feel it as a substantial loss, I believe).
