#120539 - Controlling AC Devices |
Hi. How are you? Finally I finished another course in school. Now I have a system with LCD, 4x4 Keyboard, Serial Communication, a Stopwatch (not working 100%) and now I want to make something else... to control AC devices like a bulb or lamp.
The only thing I want is to turn on / off a 120V A.C. lamp. My question is: Is it mandatory to use a zero crossing sensor? I'm using a TRIAC and a moc3011 to control the bulb but I know that TRIAC goes off every cross in zero, so do I need to use something like the H11AA1 or can I control the on of TRIAC with uC ? If I use the H11AA1, its signal should be an interrupt to the uC, right? and then this interrupt should send a '1' to the gate of TRIAC. Thank you. Rodrigo... |
