Then why are you a student? Granted there are valid reasons for skipping a lecture: your mother died, you were kidnapped by terrorists, you were in the hospital with dire injuries, etc. Do any of these apply? If so, then please ignore this post. If not, then you should seriously consider why you're in college.

As a student, you have an obligation to do your best to learn the material. Skipping lectures does not fulfill your obligation.

I deal on a daily basis with students who are in college solely because Mommy and Daddy expect them to get a degree, but they'd rather not be there. Quite frankly, I'd rather such students not be there either. They are a waste of my time.

In the future, please put forth an effort before wasting the time of forum members.
