For some time users have been requesting a way to submit and publish their projects in some automated way on 8052.com. It's been a long time in the coming, but it's here... Presenting 8052.com User Home Pages.

All registered users may create a "home page" here at 8052.com. Of course, we expect all home pages at 8052.com to be 8052-related--so please don't start creating off-topic home pages. Commercial home pages are not permitted without prior permission from the webmaster. The home page facility is meant to be a place for you to share your 8052 projects and topics instead of creating such pages at Yahoo, Geocities, etc.

To create a home page just login with your 8052.com account and click on the "My Home Page" which will appear in the left sidebar whenever you are logged on. Clicking on that link will allow you to create your home page directory and, subsequently, populate it with content and graphics files.

Please take into account the following:

1. Your main/intro page must always be called index.phtml and all your HTML files should use the .phtml extension--not .htm, .html, etc.
   
   
2. All content must be contained in your directory--you cannot create subdirectories within your directory. This may be an annoyance, but I think most home pages will be small enough that subdirectories will not be that critical.
   
   
3. Your .phtml files (content) should simply start with a set of TITLE tags to title the pages, and immediately follow with content. You do NOT need to use the HTML or BODY tags at the beginning or end of your pages--8052.com will add these automatically.

You may see other user's home pages by clicking on the button "User Pages" that is about half-way down the left sidebar. At this time there aren't any, but hopefully once people start submitting material the User Pages listing will grow.

This is a new feature, so if you find any errors or bugs please let me know VIA EMAIL (since unethical persons could take advantage of a bug report to attack the site).
