If you look at the PC-Keyboard information on quite a number of pages accessible quickly via Google, the way in which communication is handled is quite well described. Now, I didn't use an 805x to do this, since it was already spelled out for a different MCU, but the way in which the host talks to the keyboard is described in considerable detail in quite a few places.
