#121883 - external memory-mapped
Responding to: ???'s previous message
PortC is external-memory-mapped so the only thing you can do with it is movx, bytewise.

In fact, the uPSD consists of a 8031 and the PSD (a combination of FLASH, SRAM, a few ports and decoding logic). It is absolutely the sam as a 2-chip solution, just in 1 chip.

I assume you use C, which might hide the details from you - a nice example of how the underlying asm understanding might help to get the concept right.
