#122947 - dsp ic and metering ic
Responding to: ???'s previous message
hi everyone thanks for the response..
dsp ics and metering ics are very tempting as they are single chip solutions to the energy meter im looking for... but cant there be a 8051 based not so accurate simple project that calculates and displays energy consumed... :(
my idea is to sample current and voltage seperately and convert them into digital values and feed it to the microcontroller , which inturn evaluates the power value and the energy consumed.....
but the most critical part of this design is the sampling of voltage and current. second important thing is the calibration of the voltage and current to make the meter precise..... so any more ideas welcome....
