An IIC file – in this context – is an image file for the I2C EEPROM connected to the Cypress Cy7c68013 chip.
A hex file needs to be converted into this format by an appropriate utility (e.g. hex2bix) before downloading to the I2C EEPROM. The format can contain special codes and data records that modify the boot-up of this chip. The example that Jez quoted is for a different Cypress chip and is not right for the Cy7c68013. It remains to be seen what the actual problem here is. “it’s not working” is not descriptive enough. |
