#12558 - RE: how to implement a sofeware Key ? |
Hi Spencer,
I agree with Andy, any software access key (dongle) was at most painful for the regular user, but not a real handicap for hackers. E.g. I have hacked my Keil-dongle to be able to use my noote-book (no parallel port without the docking station). Also there is a big FAQ page on the Keil web to try to solve speed, Windows-NT and printer problems, all caused only by the dongle. But on using as an entry key, today 1-wire or wireless was used. Since its very unreliable and expensive to connect 9 wire good. For 1-wire please look at the Dallas 1-wire-serial number circuits. Peter |
