#125971 - LED Resistor Drive Circuit |
I have a board that has several inputs that are opto-isolated and have LED indicators. Currently my design (Design A) has pull resistor on every led and opto-led.
There are 20 inputs on the the board and the layout area is a little tight. I was think about using a single pull resistor for series of 4-6 inputs (Design B) to reduce the number of resistor needed. I was even thing about using no pull up resistors at all as seen in (Design C). I wanna keep the design flexible enough that i can use commonly available LEDs in 1206 footprint and may be use different colors but that is a big may be! http://www.jernie.com/design.MDI http://www.jernie.com/design.pdf Any opinions? |
