Sorry Russell, but you seem to make a common '51-specific error: zero is not a flag stored as a result of arithmetic/logic operation; but reflects the current state of accumulator! The CJNE instruction itself is to be used to distinguish the "zero result".
Also you made a typo: CJNE is a subtraction which does NOT store the result apart from the C flag... Jan Waclawek |
