Recently I tried to assemble a program I wrote for an 8051
and it wouldn't run because it was an old 16-bit dos based
assembler. (My new computer is running Windows XP Pro x64
edition, which doesn't run 16-bit apps anymore, doh.)

I found some newer solutions that I think are working alright now. But it made me wonder something. While there are alot of
solutions out there, has there ever been a forum topic that
is about personal favorites? What do you all prefer, and for
what reasons?
