#127855 - Why wouldn't it be an ISP? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi,
it IS an ISP programmer which I used for programming AT89S8252. I was programming ON THE PCB through the chip's SPI ports, without removing the chip from the board. So I guess this is what we call ISP programming. The AT90S2313 chip on the ISP programmer was used as an interface realising programming signals. The reason why I used AVRStudio and programmer to program an 8051 because the AT89S8252 is supported by the AVRProg software which is included in the AVR Studio. And the second reason was that in the project I was working on there were several 8051 and AVR chips working together, so I wanted to have one cheap programmer solution for all of them. I had a bucnh of problems getting run this ISP programmer, but with the help of you guys (8052), I succeed: http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=85583. greetings Attila |
