Thanks anyway. I think I'd drop the direct function call; I'd output a single number from the "array search" and run that through a switch as ... my C usage in '51 is rather something like if you'd hand compile from asm to C... similarly if I C on PC it's very like Pascal just a slightly different syntax... Is that really SO bad? :-) Have a nice weekend (we have a holiday here tomorrow)! JW |
