Strange ideas. You can reverse engineer code, but not without the use of own mind. That's the point, because you would never know from the hex file that what was the intended nature of a variable by the original progmer. That's important to know, in order to know the flow of program and logic of some body else's code. If you want to draw a flow chart for yourself before sitting to write code, then the tools described by Andy are the right tools. OR try looking into the software of PLDs. I "think" they have something like that in their application notes (at ATMEL). Good Luck Simon.
