I don't like the ICP circuit in the ICP Application note...AN10258 (there are 2 versions of this app note)... Vdd is switched through either a NPN or PNP transistor switching Vdd to the ICP micro. Vdd but meet the rise and fall times of the data sheet, Vdd must fall to 0.2volts before power on reset is triggered... If you have a big cap across Vdd and ground it may take some time for Vdd to fall to 0.2v for reset to kick in, otherwise "Power-cycling without VDD having dropped below 0.2V may result in incorrect Program Counter values" Joe |
