Hi, Anyone know about if we can have a ready hardware with an I2c bus on one side and a serial UART on other ? . Any CPLD dedicated chips for this?

AP

Are you looking for an I2C-attached UART? If so, try here:

I2C/SPI slave to UART/IrDA/GPIO bridges

If you are looking for the "other direction", that is to say a UART-attached I2C master, try here:

UART to I2C master/GPIO bridges

Of course, you could implement this functionality on a CPLD as well, if you felt so motivated.
