Yes, as Jesper say, Cypress IS the place for DPM. To make a DPM part of the memory configuration you will need somw decoding logic and if your need is only 10 bytes, maybe you can do it all in a CPLD or FPGA. If speed is not an issue, just use 2 latches for the data - one in each direction and 2 port pins for signalling. I use DPM regularly as it is the best means I know of fast interprocessor communication; however for only 10 bytes I think you are using an ICBM to shoot a sparrow.
