I want to start my work by making the first circuit programming for microcontroller AT89S8252. As Erik said above, this is not a good idea for a start. There are too many potential causes for such "programming cable" to fail, so that it is not the best starter for a newbie. I don't know what are the possibilities in getting parts and kits in Kuwait, but I'd recommend you either to get the original Atmel cable, or, better, get a known good development kit. The SiLabs devkit is recommended often here and elsewhere as a good value for the money, but there are many other possibilities, better and worse. If you are confident in your hardware abilities, you might try to assemble a simple baseline circuit - with a power source (e.g.7805 or similar), a reset circuit (a proper reset IC such as the 3-legger MAX810 or the classical 7705 or 1232 highly recommended, contrary to what is in the datasheets) and a RS232 level converter (MAX232 and similar) - and get an UART-programmed derivative such as P89V51RD2 or AT89C51ED2 or similar. They are maybe 2x more expensive than the AT89S825x series, but more easier to get them programmed for a newbie. JW |
