#130790 - You're in the wrong place Responding to: ???'s previous message |
This is a forum for 8051 not ARM9!
Besides, how can anyone answer your question if you don't even tell us what ARM9 chip you're using! The mmu control is up to your software , or the operating system (if you're using one). Usually if you're using this style of cpu, you'll have a lot of ram, so your page size should be near inconsequential. The linker doesn't need to know about the mmu or the page size - your software or the o/s creates the required memory layout for the code to execute. What is more efficient? Why would you be given a choice if there was one solution clearly better than the other? Some applications may benefit for having a smaller page size, whereas others benefit from having a larger page size. If you're asking these questions, then you don't understand the operation of the mmu. If you don't understand the mmu, you're going to have a hell of a time getting the cpu to work. |
