#131783 - 80C592 port 1 problem |
hello everyone,
i'm trying to use port 1 of the Phillips 80C592 microcontroller. The problem is that i cannot use the P1.6 and P1.7 I/O lines, the outputs of these lines are always zero.. The manual says that these lines are shared with the CTX0 and CTX1 lines of the CAN interface and that they can be used as normal I/Os if CAN is not used.. quote from page 9 of the official manual: "2. If the CAN-controller is in the reset state (e.g. after a power-up reset; CAN Control Register bit CR.0; see Section 13.5.3 Table 32), the CAN transmitter outputs are floating and the pins P1.6 and P1.7 can be used as open-drain port pins. After a power-up reset the port data is HIGH, leaving the pins P1.6 and P1.7 floating." any ideas ? thank you, George Manolaros |
