Hi Fabian,
I agree with Erik that your listing is difficult to read. There are some suggestions on this website that will help you format your code is a much more readable form. Search for "How to post code". You mentioned that you are using a serial to USB converter to get the serial data in and out of the PC. The problem may lie in the USB<-->serial convertor. I suggest you find a PC with a real RS232 com port and try to isolate the problem to your code or to the USB<--> serial converter (or maybe even both have a problem).
