Generally, when it comes - as you correctly state - to _methods_, it gets rather complicated to convey the idea to the reader, without confusing him with the unnecessary details, but retaining all the necessary information.

IAP as a whole appears to be such a concept. Most of the related questions asked here are "How", but are really meant to be "When" and "Why" (or for that matter, "Why not")...
