Well sir i have read the PDF which was called "The Bibile" of MCu by Sir Erik Muland Well, it's actually called, by some, "the bible for the 8051" - no capitals, and it's purely 8051, not MCUs in general. And I hadn't heard that Erik had been knighted... how to send the 9th bit from computer ? (by using HyperTerminal) You can't. As noted above, the so-called "bible" applies specifically to the 8051 - and the processor in a PC is not an 8051! The 9-bit mode is a special feature of the 8051 (also supported on some other processors) - it is not directly supported on PCs. i know VB but there is no feature in also VB to set and reset the 9th bit It has nothing to do with VB or Hypoterminal - it's not supported by the PC hardware. You can play certain tricks with the PC's Parity bit to make it look like 9-bit data to the 8051; there are also a few Drivers available for the PC to emulate 9-bit mode... |
