I've once had a sample from Dallas (80c320) and r7 was damaged. I found out by using r7 in my code. If I would not use r7 the chip would be still in the circuit.
So you have to write a test code that writes a value in any of all the registers IRAM etc. and read back to verify if everything is doing what you want the chip to do. |
